About Us
A 75 place centre catering for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years, our wonderful Educators have delighted in re-establishing our Greenslopes service as a leader in early learning and childcare in South Brisbane.
Greenslopes Early Learning Centre is located on site at Greenslopes Private Hospital at 100 Denman Street, Greenslopes. Dandelion Early Learning commenced ownership of this service in August 2017, retaining close links with Ramsay Health Care. The service welcomes families from the local and surrounding communities as well as those employed at the hospital.

Studios
Nursery 1
We are lucky enough to have two nursery studios to cater for our growing community needs. Our educators build strong connections with children and families knowing that this is often the first introduction to care. Our nurturing educators settle children by focusing on home routines and mimicing these as possible.

Toddlers
Our Toddler educators support children through a program of play-based learning to help exploration of own strengths and interests, whilst leaning from peers. Our Toddler studio finds a balance between routine and flexibility to give our toddlers as much independence as they can manage.

Junior Kindy
Our Junior Kindy caters for children 2 to 3 years of age where language development is strong. Children learn through play and through spontaneous and planned learning experiences and interactions. Our play-based curriculum allows children to explore ideas, make connections, solve problems, and engage with others in a social setting.

Pre-Kindy
Our large studio caters for our 3 to 4 year olds to prepare for the transition to Kindergarten the following year. We are very fortunate to have a Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teacher who has been at the service for over 15 years lead this studio. As children reach their milestones, this year is particularly important to facilitate children to become independent, competent and capable.

Kindergarten
We run a QLD Approved Kindergarten program for children turning 4 by the 30th of June each year and move to Prep the following year. Our Kindergarten program is dedicated to your child’s unique learning style and our educators are experienced in preparing them in their lifelong journey. Our Curriculum is guided by the Government Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines to ensure that every child’s individual outcomes are met.

Our Leadership Team
Louise Thomas
Consulting Manager
Louise Thomas is a passionate Early Childhood Management Consultant, and integral member of the Dandelion Management team, having worked with the Dandelion group since its inception. With over 30 years experience in the early learning sector, Louise has fulfilled various roles within the industry and holds a Certificate III in Child Care, Associate diploma in Child Care, an Advanced Diploma in Community Services (Childcare), and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment as well as qualifications in Human Resources. Currently Louise holds a volunteer position as a committee member with Australian Child Care Alliance QLD (ACA), and in 2018, was nominated to become a CAECE (College for Australian Early Childhood Educators) board member.
Jacqueline Petrinec
Nominated Supervisor
Jacq holds a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) and has been with Greenslopes Early Learning Centre since change of ownership in 2006. At this time, Jacq was the leader / teacher in our Kindergarten classroom. Jacq soon progressed to lead our team as Nominated Supervisor and brings her extensive experience as an educator and leader to guide all practices at the service. Jacq is incredibly passionate about early childhood education and supporting children to build strong, positive foundations for lifelong learning. She believes that early childhood learning environments provide valuable opportunities to recognise and celebrate children as unique and diverse learners, each bringing their own strengths, interests, and ways of learning. By providing inclusive, engaging and meaningful experiences that cater to different learning styles, educators can build confidence and encourage positive dispositions towards learning. Jacq believes these early experiences play an important role in fostering a lifelong love of learning.
